MBTV EVENT RECAP: Heatmakerz & Buckwild SAMPLE TALK 

It’s not often you attend an event that gives artists and producers the keys to sampling records for absolutely FREE! This week Microphone Bully’s own Biz and Sky attended Sample TALK presented by Creative Space Events. Hosted by J Hatch at Sound Collective NYC, some of the best producers spoke on a panel discussing how they work and create with samples. There were tons of special guest speakers including super-producers Buckwild of DITC and The Heatmakerz own Rsonist. They each dropped a few gems giving advice to fellow producers while sharing some of their own beat making tactics. Rsonist gave his thoughts on which parts of a record to sample, saying “The part of the record that gives you goosebumps, sample that part.” Buckwild took us back to a time when “If the beat was wack, they would ask you to leave and never come back.” The Heatmakerz also gave us a custom beat especially for this Sample Talk event recap which is featured in the video.

There is no doubt, the producer is one of the most important parts of the music creation process. Whether they influence the artists vision or bring the song to life, they are an integral part of recording.
