Event RECAP: Godfather Of Harlem Finale Screening w/ Forest Whitaker @ 92NY

We had the pleasure of attending a special screening for the finale episode for season 3 of Godfather of Harlem. The early screening was held at 92nd Street Y in New York City a few days before the episode was set to air on MGM. But, before the episode, Whoopi Goldberg was on hand for a special Q&A with star of the show, the legend, Forest Whitaker. Audience members got a chance to indulge in the Q&A asking questions they have always wanted to know about the show which is in its final season.

Godfather of Harlem has been a hit series in millions of households since it aired back in 2019. Since then, fans have been captivated by the talented Forest Whitaker along with the cast telling the true story of the legend from Harlem, Bumpy Johnson. There were several cast members at the finale screening including Grace Porter who plays Betty Shabazz, Elvis Nalasco as Nat Pettigrew, Markuann Smith as Junie Byrd, Tyson Hall as The Vein, Bo Dietl as Thomas ”Tommy” Lucchese and more. The finale episode was one of the most controversial episodes depicting the last days of Malcom X. It was bittersweet to watch this amazing series come to an event but even better experiencing the end of an era with the cast.
