Ab-Soul Returns with Anticipated ‘HERBERT’ Album
Ab-Soul makes his return to music with his highly anticipated album HERBERT. The project is his first in six years via Top Dawg Entertainment. The rapper went through a lot in the last few years losing two of his best friends. Now, he bares it all shedding his rap name and giving fans a look at the man behind the raps, HERBERT. The new project centers around the songs ‘Do Better’ and the title track ‘Herbert,’ which grapples with depression and substance abuse. But, the message, to motivate while striving for your best self. He also touches on his diagnosis with a rare disease Stevens-Johnson syndrome which impacts his skin and vision. He talks about losing his father to gun violence and his former partner to suicide.
