News: Moët Hennessy Partners with Jay-Z’s Armand de Brignac

Congrats goes out to Hov on a major business move! Moët Hennessy has announced a new partnership with Jay-Z’s Armand de Brignac luxury champagne brand in a new exclusive deal. Moët Hennessy will acquire a 50% stake in Jay’s Armand brand while he will also hold the remaining 50% ownership. Jay spoke on the new business deal with Squawk Box also joined by Philippe Schaus, CEO of LVMH’s wines and spirits, owner of Moët Hennessy to elaborate on the venture.

Armand de Brignac, formerly known as Ace of Spades is a brand Jay-Z made popular in music videos throughout the years. The distinctive blend is produced in France by a family of 12th and 13th generation wine growers. Jay acquired the Armand de Brignac brand on 2014 and sold over a half a million bottles. Jay-Z outlined the deal happened because both Moët and Armand’s ‘thoughts and integrity were aligned’ along with their ability to grow luxury brands.
