Event RECAP: The 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards

The 62nd annual Grammy Awards were held on Sunday night live from the Los Angeles Staples Center. The show, hosted by Alicia Keys, was somewhat a somber night on the heels of Kobe Bryant’s passing. Music’ elite still came together to celebrate their achievements.

He wong Best Rap Performance for ‘Racks in the Middle’ featuring Roddy Ricch and ‘Higher’ with DJ Khaled and John Legend. Lizzo took home a few awards one of which was the Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Truth Hurts’ while Anderson .Paak and André 3000 won for Best R&B Performance and VENTURA won Best R&B album. Billie Eilish was a huge winner for the night, winning several awards, one for Record of the Year with ‘Bad Guy.’

DJ Khaled, Nipsey Hussle and John Legend also took home the Best Rap/Sung Performance award for ‘HIgher.’ The Best Rap Album went to Tyler, The Creator for his IGOR project. 21 Savage has been pretty quiet lately but scooped up the Best Rap Song award with J. Cole for ‘A Lot.’ You can see the complete list of Grammy Award winners here.
