News: VERZUZ Acquired By the Triller Network

VERZUZ is parting ways with Apple Music in a new deal with Triller Network parent company. Founders of VERZUZ, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland will join the Triller management team and become large sherholders in the Triller Network.

In the new deal, Timb and Swizz will also allocate part of their equity stake in the company to the previous 43 performers who’ve previously battled on VERZUZ. The financial details of the deal have yet to be released. The shareholder coming aboard the deal are John Legend, DMX, Alicia Keys, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, E-40, Too $hort, Jeezy, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Gucci Mane, Bounty Killer, D’Angelo, Ludacris, RZA, Sean Garrett, The Dream, Babyface, Nelly, 112, Jagged Edge, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Jadakiss, Fabolous, Brandy, Monica, E-40, Gladys Knight, Boi-1da, Hit-Boy, Ne-Yo, Johnta Austin, Scott Storch, T-Pain, Mannie Fresh, Lil Jon, DJ Premier, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and D’Angelo.

Timb and Swizz had this to say about the deal:

To have partners in Triller who share our vision, specifically to celebrate and elevate the amazing artists who continue to shape culture around the world and give the consumer more direct access, is game changing.”

They also stated:

Bobby Sarnevesht, executive chairman and co-owner of Triller has this to say:

“Both Triller and Verzuz share the ‘artist first, music first’ vision. We view this acquisition as more of a partnership than an acquisition, as Swizz, Timbaland and the other 43 artists who are all becoming shareholders and partners in Triller Verzuz from this day forward become our voice.”
