News: Lil Wayne’s Miami House Raided By Police

Lil Wayne’s Miami Beach House was raided by police officers yesterday afternoon to seize property after he failed to pay $2 million to Signature Group, a private jet leasing company.

TMZ reports, the Young Money CEO wasn’t home when deputies arrived, though Wayne’s security refused entry to the officers.

In a court order obtained by TMZ, it instructed Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s deputies to break the locks of the house and doors if necessary to gain entry and confiscate seizable assets. In September, a judgement came down on Lil’ Wayne to fork over $2 million to Signature Group, after missing payments during the first 2 years of a 3 year deal with the private jet company.

When the suit was originally filed in July of 2014, Lil’ Wayne owed $1 million, which rose to $1.8 million once the case went to court and was ruled in favor of Signature Group. Along with the grand total of $2 million, the 33-year-old also has to pay $200,000 in attorney’s fees.
