News: Kanye West Accepts ‘Shoe of the Year’ Award at 2015 FNAAs

Kanye West has been honored with the FNAA Shoe of The Year Award which is kinda like the Oscars for the fashion industry. He accepted the award at the 2nd annual Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York City on Wednesday night for his Adidas collaboration Yeezy Boost sneaker.

Kanye’s Yeezy Boost 750 high-top and Yeezy Boost 350 low-cut dropped in 2015 an were instantly sought after selling out at numerous locations. The sneakers dominated the market in 2015 creating high re-sale values and long lines world wide. Kanye had this to say while accepting his award.

‘If you don’t like profanity-laden speeches that end in a Presidential bid, I suggest you go to the bathroom now. I care about product. I’m dead serious for what I create as an artist in this lifetime. It’s a spark that I want to bring joy. And just like when my daughter is singing and jumping around—she might not be finishing her sentences perfectly, but she’s brining so much joy. And I know that she’s going to grow up and be amazing. So you can see a spark in the pieces I do so that one day they can’t grow up and be amazing.’
