News: Fans Riot, NJ Swat Team Called at Hot 97 #SummerJam Concert 2015
Yesterday, Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert was interrupted by uncontrollable fans and negative crowd activity at Metlife Stadium. The New Jersey Swat team was called in along with East Rutherford police when fans decided to bombard the entrance gates trying to sneak their way in. Chaos followed as the swat team threw tear gas and held up riot shield trying to calm the unruly crowds.
There were a reported 61 arrests made and many injured by flying bottles that fans threw at police officers in which 10 were seriously hurt. The entrance gate was shut down causing concert goers who paid for tickets to unfortunately be left outside.
