Event RECAP: Hot 97 #SummerJam 2015 (Photos and Performances)

Yesterday, Hot 97 held their annual Summer Jam concert at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Some of the most popular artists hit the Festival Stage and the Main Stage for one of the biggest concerts of the year.

The Festival Stage kicked off around 2 pm with performances from Fetty Wap, Dej Loaf, Travis Scott, Omarion, Teyana Taylor, B.O.B. and Chedda Da Connect. Ty Dolla $ign was the first artist to hit the main stage bringing out Detroit rapper Dej Loaf and Taylor Gang Boss Wiz Khalifa. Next up, Trey Songz had all the females screaming as he performed a medley of his hits including ‘Foreign’ and ‘Slow Motion.’ Chris Brown was the next artist to kick off the concert bringing out 50 Cent and G-Unit, plus French Montana who performed Bobby’s Shmurda’s hit single ‘Hot Nigga.’

But, the award for most entertaining performance has to go to Fabolous who made sure to give fans everything they came to see. He performed a bunch of his singles and then brought out Chris Brown, French Montana, Black Rob, Busta Rhymes, Spliff Starr, Remy Ma, Fat Joe, Method Man, Redman, Raekwon, Mase, Mobb Deep, Lil Kim and The Lox. They all performed classic records that definitely took the crowd on a walk down memory lane.

Kendrick Lamar was next up performing songs off his recently released LP, To Pimp A Butterfly. He later brought out ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Ab-Soul for the assist. Big Sean made his show completely about his Dark Sky Paradise project, performing a medley of his songs off the LP. Meek Mill gave fans a taste of his tracks including ‘Monster,’ ‘Imma Boss’ and ‘Levels’ before bringing out girlfriend Nicki Minaj who delivered ‘Only’ and ‘Truffle Butter.’

Fetty Wap and Troy Ave closed out Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2015 which Tidal exclusively live streamed for their subscribers.
