News: Drake’s ‘VIEWS’ Sells Over a Million Copies In Its First Week

Regardless to the mixed reviews on Drake’s new album VIEWS, the LP is on track to sell well over a million copies in the first week of its’ release. Drake’s label Republic Records has already reported that the album has been streamed over 250 million times, even though it was released exclusively on Apple Music.

The bulk of stream have come from the U.S. with 1 million digital copies being sold through iTunes around the globe. Billboard has estimated over 850,000 digital album sales earlier this week and with all totals considered, VIEWS is on pace to do 1.2 million in sales at weeks end.

Last week many were impressed with the album selling 600,000 copies worldwide on iTunes in a single day. Drake is set to host and perform on SNL on May 14th.
