News: Future’s ‘Dirty Sprite 2’ Goes Platinum

After having to cancel The Roots Picnic performance and Hot 97 Summer Jam, Future does have something to celebrate as he earns his first ever official Platinum album according to the RIAA. His Dirty Sprit 2 or DS2 album has surpassed the one million mark in sales which makes for his second platinum plaque after collaborating with Drake on What a Time To Be Alive. Congrats are in order!

‘Future was crushed by the request [to cancel his Summer Jam performance] but was told it was in the best interest and for everyone’s safety that he leave,’ Future’s manager, Anthony Saleh, told Billboard. ‘We couldn’t be more disappointed but we promise our fans that in spite of the rocky start, we will do everything in our power to make this summer one for the history books!!! #SummerSixteen’
