Kid Capri Drops ‘The Love’ Album

Kid Capri dropped his sophomore album Soundtrack to the Streets back in 1998. The project boasted appearances by Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes and more. Now, over 24 years later he gives us a new album titled The Love. He recently told Flaunt Magazine his reason for waiting so long to do another project.

“My family is the Love: Vina Love, I’m David Love, my moms,” Capri explained to Flaunt. “It’s about the love of what we’re doing and what I’ve been doing, for the love of what I got. Just grateful for everything I’m doing. Overall, that’s what we need around this time right now.”

The new album includes 19 new songs led by the single ‘Uptown.’ The album also features appearances by LoVel and Mr. Lexx. Take a listen and stream the new LP and watch the visual for ‘Uptown’ below.
