News: Cardi B’s ‘Bodak Yellow’ Certified Diamond

Cardi B is making history with her popular hit single ‘Bodak Yellow.’ The song has now been certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America. The song originally released in 2017 was the first by a female to reach No. 1 in all genres.

According to the RIAA, ‘Bodak Yellow’ has officially moved 10 million units. One equivalent song unit is equal to a single digital song sale, or 150 on-demand audio and/or video streams. Her single ‘Wap’ with Megan Thee Stallion is already at 5x platinum, halfway to the diamond mark. The announcement was made via social media congratulating Cardi on the milestone. Her peers also took to social media to show her love, including Kodak Black.
