Watch Stephanie Mills vs. Chaka Khan VERZUZ Battle

Last night was extremely epic for the culture! Two of our favorite legendary singers came together to celebrate each others greatness. Stephanie Mills and Chaka Khan participated in the latest VERZUZ battle live from The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. It was slated to be a night to remember and measured up to the hype as the two divas put on a great show!

The battle kicked off at 9 pm EST with DJ Scratch hosting the second ever VERZUZ DJ Battle competition. Shortly after a DJ warm-up session, Stephanie and Chaka appeared looking amazing. The two women gave a brief introduction before Stephanie set the battle off. She was energetic, fun spirited, happy and lively as she effortless sang each of her songs. Chaka seemed to have been somewhat inebriated as she tried to power through her sets. But, Stephanie sang along to Chaka’s song which showed the true definition of sisterhood. The two continued to sing some if their classic tracks straight through with no intermission. Chaka seemed to have still been able to perform after a shoe change and a couple bottles of water.

Stephanie even brought out her son to dance to one of her songs, while Chaka introduced us to her daughter.
