Kid Cudi Unveils New ‘Entergalactic’ Album
Kid Cudi gives us new music with his Entergalactic album released via Republic Records. The new LP is the follow-up to his Man on The Moon III: The Chosen project released back in 2020. Cudi has enters a new dimension with this project which features Ty$, 2 Chainz, Don Toliver, Steve Aiko and more. The album is the soundtrack to the Entergalactic animated film which was also premiered today on Netflix. From the mind of Kid Cudi and executive producer Kenya Barris, the film is the story of two young artists navigating the twists and turns of finding love in New York City. Cudi explained the concept to Esquire saying:
“Love is the answer. It is gonna hurt you at times, but it’ll heal you, too. It’s one hell of a ride when you’re in it with someone, especially what they’re experiencing in Entergalactic, It’s fucking magic, you know.”
The show is his version of a visual album, for which he recorded the music first—a suite of songs on the beauty of being freed by love—and worked backward to storyboard the narrative before hiring a writing team to script it.
