Janet Jackson Documentary Coming to Lifetime TV

Janet Jackson announced her new documentary is on its’ way to a screen near you. She reveals the story will be told by her in a two-night documentary titled ‘Janet.’ The new doc which took five years to make, will premiere in January 2022 to celebrate the singer’s 40th anniversary of her very first album.

In the new documentary trailer, stars including Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott and Paula Abdul talk about Janet’s career and accomplishments. The film highlights some of Janet’s biggest moments including her controversial 2004 Super Bowl performance with Justin Timberlake. She also shares touching moments like the loss of her father in 2018 plus more. The forthcoming documentary ‘Janet’ is directed by Ben Hirsch and executive produced by Randy Jackson along with Janet.
