Rap Legend Gonzoe Passes Away in Seattle

It is with a heavy heart that we have to report this story about a close friend of the Microphone Bully family. The legendary rapper Gonzoe, also known as Ronald Moore, was shot and killed in Seattle, Washington on Thursday night. He is survived by his youngest son, Braxton. Gonzoe was 45 years old.

The Police report Gonzoe was shot 3 times in the chest by Roxbury Lanes. He tried to run to a nearby gas station where he collapsed. They say a car was riddled with bullets on the scene. Deputies responded to the shooting in the 2800 block of Southwest Roxbury Street, near Roxhill Park and a Safeway, just before 8 p.m., said sheriff’s spokesperson Sgt. Tim Meyer. The gunman got away and is still at large. Gonzoe was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He died overnight, Meyer said Friday morning.

Gonzoe, from Los Angeles, was a member of the 1990’s rap group Kausion put together by Ice Cube. The group released their debut project South Central Los Skanless in 1995. Gonzoe got his rap name from the late Tupac. He released over ten solo projects, including his celebrated If I Live And Nothing Happens album in 1998. Gonzoe was the co-CEO of Glovez Up Gunz Down, a celebrity boxing platform involving Snoop Dogg. The message was to teach boxing and end gun violence. He often shared messaged of inspiration on his IG page. He appeared in the first match for Glovez Up Gunz Down with co-CEO Boskoe100.

Even though this is not how he would’ve wanted it, his name was trending on Twitter since yesterday. Many people took to the social media platform to show their love and support for the legendary rapper who was planning some big things for the future!
