Chris Rock Gets Slapped By Will Smith, Ticket Sales surge

This past weekend the drama unfolded at the Oscars. It’s all started when Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. Everyone know Will Smith’s wife suffers from a hair loss condition, Alopecia. But, Chris Rock referred to her as GI Jane. Jada rolled her eyes at the joke and Will laughed. But, soon after Will was seen walking directly on stage and proceeded to slap Chris. He then walked back to his seat shouting ‘Keep my wife’s name out of your f*cling mouth.’ The incident took the internet by storm as many posted on social media their thought. Will was back on stage shortly after to accept his Academy Award for the movie Kind Richard. He apologized to the Academy but not directly to Chris with tears in his eyes. Chris later issued his own apology for taking the joke too far.

Since the incident, the ticket sales for Chris Rock’s forthcoming comedy tour have surged. TickPick announced they have sold more tickets for the shows in the past two days than the past month. The ticket prices now cost $341 on TickPick, up from a minimum of $46 per ticket last week. The Academy announced today “There is a formal review around the incident and they will explore further action and consequences in accordance with our by laws, standards of conduct and California law.” Stay tuned for updates and watch the video below.
