News: Chinx Shot and Killed in Queens, NY

Cokeboy rapper Chinx formerly known as Chinx Drugs or Lionel Pickens to family and friends, was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Queens, NY in a drive-by shooting. The 31-year old father of 3 was dropping a friend home in the borough when he was the target of a drive-by. Police responded to a 911 call in Briarwood, Queens at 4 a.m. where they found two men slumped over in a car. Pickens was transported to Jamaica Medical Center with gunshot wounds to his torso, where he was pronounced dead.

A makeshift memorial has been set up at the site where the silver Porsche Chinx was driving was found at the crime scene. The other victim, a 27-year-old Cokeboy member, was shot in the back. He remains at Jamaica Medical Center listed in critical condition. Rappers and others have taken to social media to express their remorse. No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.

Update: CBS 2 News is reporting that police have taken at least two men into custody for their involvement in the murder of Chinx.
