News: The 2019 GRAMMY Awards Recap (Performances & More)

The 61st annual GRAMMY Awards were held at The Staples Center in Los Angeles hosted by Alicia Keys. The biggest night in music boasted tons of artists coming out to celebrate each others accolades. The show included performances by Camilla Cabello, Janelle Monae, H.E.R., Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Travis Scott plus more. They award show also did their best to pay tribute to the Motown family with a performance by JLo, Smokey Robinson, Ne-Yo, and Alicia Keys. The tribute to Donny Hathaway was done by Chloe x Halle, while Fantasia, Andra Day and Yolanda Adams honored the late Aretha Franklin.

Childish Gambino did not attend the GRAMMY Awards despite winning big for ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Record of the Year,’ ‘Best Music Video’ and ‘Best Rap/Sung Performance’ for the single ‘This Is America.’ Drake declined performing at the show but actually attended to take home his GRAMMY for ‘Best Rap Song’ for ‘God’s Plan.’ Cardi B made history as the first solo female artist to win ‘Best Rap Album’ for her debut Invasion of Privacy. H.E.R., Ella Mai, Anderson .Paak and Dua Lipa also took home GRAMMY Awards. You can see the full list of winners in each category over at the GRAMMY site.
