EVENT RECAP: Wu-Tang: An American Saga Screening @ 92NY

This week, we attended the screening of Wu-Tang: An American Saga along with a live stage conversation with Sway at The 92nd Street Y in NYC! The final season airing on HULU kicked off earlier this month and we had the chance to see an early screening of episode 6 airing on March 8th. After watching the new episode, the cast was there to indulge in a live conversation about episode 6, the show and their characters. Sway spoke with RZA along with members of the cast Shameik Moore, Siddiq Saunderson, TJ Atoms, Dave East, Marcus Callender and Alex Tse. RZA unveiled the W in Wu-Tang is for “witty” and the U is for “unpredictable,” the two factors him and co-creator Alex strived for when filming. He maintained guidance over the cast to be sure they understood the true message of the Wu-Tang story. Dave East stated the experience of filming the show made him want to direct his own music videos. We are sad this is the final season, but were excited to experience this conversation with RZA and the actors first hand.
