It’s been six years since Rowdy Rebel, Bobby Shmurda and the GS9 gang were taken into custody at Quad Studios. Bobby and Rowdy were charged with conspiracy, reckless endangerment, criminal possession and more. Bobby was given an extra four years onto his seven year sentence for having a knife smuggled into Rikers Island jail by his girlfriend.
Rowdy was hit with a slew of charges as well including an attempted murder charge stemming from an incident at The Barclays in Brooklyn, NY. But, Bobby took a plea deal of one count of third-degree conspiracy and one count weapons possession. So, because of the deal, Rowdy received a lesser sentence and is now a free man. He was released from jail on Tuesday and will be on parole until December 2025.
Bobby, however, was recently denied parole and is scheduled to be released at the end on 2021.
