Event RECAP: The 2015 American Music Awards with The Weeknd, Ariana Grande and More

The 2015 43rd annual American Music Awards were held last night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The show was hosted by JLo, who kicked off the night with a surprise dance performance to some of the hottest songs in music today.

Many were confused as to why the Best R&B/Soul album award category only contained three artists, Chris Brown, The Weeknd and D’Angelo. The Weeknd won the award for that category and performed his hit single ‘The Hills.’

Ariana Grande performed her new song ‘Focus’ for the first time live, while Macklemore and Ryan Lewis debuted their new single ‘Kevin’ with Leon Bridges.

Justin Bieber closed out the show introduced by Ciara, performing ‘What Do You Mean,’ ‘Where Are U Now’ and ‘Sorry.’ Take a look at some images and performance videos from last nights AMA’s below.
