EVENT Recap: Hot 97 Summer Jam with Lil Wayne, Meek Mill & More
The rain didn’t stop the Hot 97 Summer Jam Concert as fans packed the MetLife Stadium grounds in East Rutherford, NJ in anticipation of a great night. The Festival stage kicked off with performers including Famous Dex, Jay Critch, Don Q and Snoopy Dinero. Newcomer Lil Boost was also selected by fans online to showcase his music on the annual Festival stage.
The Summer Jam Stadium Stage was headlined by Pulitzer Prize winner Kendrick Lamar who performed cuts off his DAMN LP along with tracks from his To Pimp A Butterfly album. Meek Mill surprised fans by popping a wheelie on an ATV as he graced the stage for his performance. Remy Ma performed bringing out special guests Lil Kim and Fat Joe while Swizz Beatz was joined by the legendary group Bel Biv Devoe. He also kicked off a live beat battle challenging producer Timbaland on the spot shocking fans stadium wide.
The festivities continued with additional performances by A$AP Ferg, Tory Lanez, Megan Ryte & Friends, A Boogie and HoodCelebrityy. Hot 97 also teamed up with Tidal to live stream the Summer Jam concert and provide a 48 hour stream for those who missed the show. Summer Jam partners included Ciroc, Heineken, Herradura, Billionares Row, PlayMGM, MetroPlus Health Plan, and Dello Russo Laser Vision.
