Snowfall

The new anticipated FX series Snowfall will be premiering on your TV screen sooner than you know it. The new show, created by John Singleton and Eric Amadio is set in 1983 Los Angeles through the rise of the cocaine era. Snowfall is a one-hour drama set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it.

Snowfall has been described as part Boyz In The Hood, part Goodfellas with some controversial scenes and topics. It was initially debuted at the ATX Festival last month with Singleton referring to the show as the ‘Ghetto Game of Thrones.’ Take a look at the trailer for the show and be sure to catch the premiere tomorrow night at 9 pm on FX.

The story follows numerous characters on a violent collision course, including: Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), young street entrepreneur on a quest for power; Gustavo Zapata (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), a Mexican wrestler caught up in a power struggle within a crime family; Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson), a CIA operative running from a dark past who begins an off-book operation to fund the Nicaraguan Contras; and Lucia Villanueva (Emily Rios), the self-possessed daughter of a Mexican crime lord.
