News: TDE’s ‘Black Panther’ Album Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard

This past weekend, the masses came out to celebrate the premiere of the movie Black Panther. A few weeks ago critics projected sales for the first weekend would range from $100-120 million. The movie crushed those early projection in just four days raking in over $427 million worldwide.

The movie soundtrack exclusively produced by Top Dawg Entertainment has seen similar success. The album debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Charts selling 154,000 equivalent album units, 93,000 from streaming. The new album features appearances by Kendrick Lamar, SZA, 2 CHainz, Swae Lee, Vince Staples, Ab-Soul, Anderson .Paak, Jay Rock, Future, Travis Scott and more.
