News: Riots and Looting in Ferguson After Officer Not Indicted in Mike Brown Shooting

The verdict was revealed today for the officer in the Mike Brown shooting, and they choses not to indict the officer who killed the teenager. The family of Mike Brown asked that there be a moment of silence before the protests begin, but it only took a short period of time for extreme chaos to break out in Ferguson, Missouri. Protestors took to the street to express their anger and disappointment in the verdict but other people took the opportunity to loot and steal from various stores in the area. They urned down the Lil Cesars pizza restaurant and the same store in which Mike Brown was alledge to have stole from, was broken into and looted by people in the neighborhood. The police were throwing tear gas to keep people off the streets and people were setting police cars on fire.

The scene in Ferguson was truly a sad sight to see which continued for hours. CNN and other news team stood their ground in the area to provide complete coverage of the events taking place. Protestors continued to yell, ‘Hands Up, Don’t Shoot’ all night long. There were also protests taking place at the same time in New York, Seattle, Chicago and Oakland.
