News: Lil Wayne Gets Eight-Figure Settlement in Birdman/Cash Money Case

After long legal woes with Cash Money Records and Birdman, Lil Wayne has come away with a huge settlement. According to recent court documents, Universal Music Group wrote a $10 million check to settle and dismiss the lawsuit.

Birdman did not pay out any of the settement money, only Universal who intends on recouping the money from Drake and Nicki Minaj in the future. Lil Wayne is now officially none with Cash Money and is now able to release Tha Carter V album via Universal. Sources say Lil Wayne and Birdman are no longer on speaking terms.
