News: Kodak Black Sentenced to 120 Days In Jail

Dieuson Octave otherwise known as 19 year old rapper Kodak Black has been sentenced to 120 days in jail. The incident stems from a Dec. 25, 2015 traffic stop on Florida’s Turnpike and then failure to appear in court. He plead no contest to two misdemeanor drug charges in a St. Lucie County court room on Monday morning.

The two charges included possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis, and a misdemeanor charge of use or possession of drug paraphernalia. His license will also be suspended for a year and he will also pay a fine of $298. But, his worries don’t stope there. He will then face a charge of criminal sexual conduct in South Carolina as he was accused committing sexual battery at a hotel.

Kodak is alleged to have engaged in the sexual battery of a victim at a hotel located at 2120 West Lucas Street, Florence, SC.

In South Carolina, a criminal sexual conduct charge can occur under a number of circumstances. A victim could be forced to have sex through aggravated force, during a kidnapping or while physically helpless due to the influence of a controlled substance. The crime carries a punishment of up to 30 years in prison.

There is no word on whether Kodak would be extradited to South Carolina after serving the rest of his sentence in the St. Lucie County Jail. We will keep you posted as details develop.
