News: Chance the Rapper Talks Independence, Clears Up Apple Deal
Chance the Rapper took to his Twitter page to clarify what seems to be an ongoing issue regarding whethere he is truly an independent artist. After releasing his Coloring Book project exclusively through Apple Music, many people questioned his relationship with the music streaming brand.
Chance posted a series of tweets on his social media page to clarify his dealings with Apple. He said the company gave him $500,000 and a commercial for his Coloring Book project to be streamed exclusively through Apple for the first two weeks. He says he still independent and other artists should take advantage of the streaming market, as ,on as you keep your integrity.
I never felt the need to correct folks on my relationship with @apple but now that more people have tried to discredit my independence..
