Aretha Franklin had been battling pancreatic cancer since 2010 and wasn’t doing to wellas of late. Now, it is sad to report, the Queen of Soul has passed away at the age of 76. She passed at her home in Detroit, MI surrounded by her family and friends. The official cause of death was due to advanced pancreatic cancer of the neuroendocrine type, confirmed by her oncologist Dr. Philip Phillips.
Aretha was regarding as one of the greatest singers of our time. Although being diagnosed in 2010 she continued performing after having a tumor removed. She was set to headline two shows this year but cancelled on her doctors orders. She was a legend, selling over 75 million records in her lifetime along with winnin 18 Grammy Awards.
