News: Bobby Shmurda Finally Gets Released From Prison

Bobby Shmurda is now a free man after 6 years locked down! Last week there was speculation he would be released this week, then his family and team confirmed the news. He was granted conditional early release due to good behavior. Bobby was picked up from Clinton Correctional Facility this morning by Quavo, 1/3 of the Migos rap group and then seen exiting a private plane. He was also on FaceTime with his mom, looking excited to be home.

Bobby was initially sentenced to 6 to 7 years in prison here and took a plea deal for conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of a weapon. His friend Rowdy Rebel was recently released, serving 6 years after Bobby took a deal giving them the same amount of time, instead of Rowdy getting more. Hopefully, he’ll be able to pick up where he left off after he reunites with his family. For now, we’ll celebrate with his popular single ‘Hot N*gga.’ Welcome back Bobby!!
