Chicago jewel Mad Man D returns with some new music called “Power In Numbers”, which features fellow Chi-town natives Spree Isreal, and Laura Ashley. This is a featured single on his new mixtape, “Keep My Name Alive In These Streets” which will drop tomorrow via LiveMixtapes. Mad Man D delivers another positive message, as he continues his fight against Chicago violence.

MORE ON MAD MAN D: Born Jay McCraney, this promising talent was raised in the Southside of Chicago’s Englewood District. He grew up in a CHA developmental community called “The New Homes” with his family. He was raised by a single mother who was stern, so he often found refuge by finding a quiet place to write stories and poems. Later, his mother birthed his two siblings, and upon their arrival things drastically changed for Jay. His mother had to pick up multiple jobs to cover their expenses, while the frustration of having less began to ignite Jay’s desire for the streets.
Having a great passion for music early on in his life, Jay began using his gift of writing as an outlet, which eventually turned into the beginning of his rap career. While recording his own music, he tried his hand at artist management, but soon left it behind when he dealt with too many artists not taking their craft seriously. Through all of the frustrations he’s dealt with throughout his life, he found himself putting it into his first love, and finally began working on his debut mixtape.
