Sweet Lemonade – Joelle James
It’s been a tough year for Chris Brown and his label CBE, but that doesn’t mean it can’t turn around and be an amazing summer. Joelle James, one the artists signed to his CBE (Chris Brown Entertainment), has remained under wraps since she last appeared on the sultry duet, “Leave the Club” which Chris released on his 2011 mixtape, “Boy in Detention”. Since then she has been working in the studio, writing and developing her own sound. She also penned the Tamar Braxton single, “All The Way Home” with Sevyn Streeter.

In support and dedication to Chris being free from his legal battle, Joelle has released a summertime song that Chris actually wrote a few years ago. She is beyond excited to share Sweet Lemonade with her fans as well as his.

“I couldn’t let another summer go by without putting out Sweet Lemonade. It was one of the first songs I ever recorded with Chris, before I learned how to write for myself. Working with CB is unlike any experience ever; his talent is undeniable. He’s been going through a lot and I really wanted to share this to celebrate him and summer 2014!”
Sweet Lemonade is everything that describes Joelle with her soulful sound and fresh, but classic image; a retro summertime soundtrack. The music may sound familiar, it was produced by Harmony Samuels (The Way – Ariana Grande, Think Like a Man – Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia – Without Me) and was used on Fantasia’s Grammy Nominated album Side Effects of You for “Lighthouse”

Joelle is looking forward to releasing more of her music in 2014.
