Interview: Future Talks Making Chart History with Billboard
Future surprised fans with his new self-titled album which hit #1 on Billboard. Then he dropped another LP with HNDRXX which replaced the other album when it hit #1 as well. Now, he talks with Billboard about making history and touring with Drake which was one of the most successful Hi[ Hop Tours of all time. On His recent successful albums:
“If I’m the biggest artist in the world, cool, but I want to just be me,” he says. “I want my money to be different. I’m not trying to have rapper money. My goal is to be able to get everything from the world that I can get.”
On The GRAMMYs:
“The Grammys, they get what they get — the shit that they don’t, it’s the shit that they maybe don’t want to understand,” he says. “They’re not going to keep me from doing what I’m supposed to do as an artist.”
On His HNDRXX Album:
“I’m opening you up to where I’m at, it’s about being vulnerable and not so cautious about what you say as far as your love life — if you was hurt or happy or in love.”
